As many of you can tell when you
enter this site, I am a photographer who has worked mostly in the entertainment
industry and corporate world. Recently I've been spending most of the year in
Sun Valley, Idaho. In Sun Valley there is not a large entertainment industry
unless you ski, golf, fish or hike. I?ve never been much of a scenic
photographer, hard to get a tree to smile, so I play golf and belong to The
Valley Club. The head professional there is Stoney Brown. Stoney has an
incredible collection of golf memorabilia, clubs, books, balls etc. I found
something that really interested me as a subject. I approached Stoney with some
samples of still life work and we began this project, which includes some very
rare and famous books, clubs, balls and history of this great game. I?ve been
photographing the collection with a 4x5 camera and making these prints which are
in sizes 8x10 to 16x20. The prints are suitable for home, den, office and of
course, art for golf clubs themselves.
.
All the prints are sepia tone and available in many sizes. The interesting
point of this work is that it is not just a photograph of a golf course or a
particular golfer. Someone mentioned that his wife might actually allow him to
hang it in the living room. The work is original and unique. All prints are
printed on Epson Archival paper with the Epson printers and signed by the
photographer. A side light of this work, is that it is photographed using a 1950
vintage 4x5 Speed Graphic camera.
In addition to these photographs, there are other prints available as
decorative art. Photographs from Europe
that also have a unique look and style. They are printed in the same manner as
the golf studies.
